emilytheslayer and I are engaged.I asked her on Sunday morning just before we went to help
ryan4d2 and ioianthe move.On Saturday we'd gone to an all day party in NH at her friend and favorite jewelery-maker's house. The party was an excuse to pick up the necklace I'd had made for her. I did the initial design and she did a wonderful job translating that into her own style, which
emilythelsayer loves.The original plan had been to ask her that night, but we got home very late.

Now, to begin the traditional harrassment of all engaged couples: Have you set the date? Will it be in a church (ha!)? Will you be having children right away? Are you registered yet? Are you going on a honeymoon? And my favorite, uttered by my father-in-law to C when we announced our own engagement: "Are you sure you know what you're getting yourself into?"

To answer your questions:

No. In a few years as she wants to graduate from grad school first.
Will it be in a church (ha!)?
It will not be in a church. It may be in a church (ha!)
Will you be having children right away?
Only as an appetizer during the reception.
Are you registered yet?
We are both registered to vote, yes.
Are you going on a honeymoon?
Possibly, depending on when we're married our honeymoon may include Worldcon in Australia.
And my favorite, uttered by my father-in-law to C when we announced our own engagement: "Are you sure you know what you're getting yourself into?"
