And something else to keep [livejournal.com profile] head58 out of the water.

Scientists are now discovering that the top hundredth-inch of the ocean is somewhat like a sheet of jelly. And this odd habitat, thinner than a human hair, is home to an unusual menagerie of microbes.

This layer helps with the transfer of gasses into the oceans. As once scientists says "It’s the ocean breathing through its skin"

If you change your mind, make sure none of these are in the area:http://www.kqed.org/quest/television/view/774

Luckily these were West Coast invaders, but while at the beach I did see a fin break the surface of the ocean, I will never know if it was a shark or a dolphin.

That's why I like to go to places like Las Vegas and Ohio for my vacations.

Well, better you find out now than as you get out of the water.

Why do I have a feeling that Lynx and Moth are eventually going to push you to the point where you stop taking showers altogether?

From: [identity profile] kaisilverwolf.livejournal.com
If that's true, i'm sure Lynx will begin getting deliveries from 1 800 flowers. And we'll just send Moth packages of fireworks periodically.

Again, it wasn't my intent to oog him out, that was an unfortunate side effect.

I'm game!

I know, I wish you'd bathe more often...

I would, but I hear there is stuff in the water!

You bathe in the ocean?

Where do you think the water that ends up coming out of the tap comes from? Do you remember nothing from 4th grade science?!

Heck if you want to carry it back further, you're bathing in my pee!

No, we'll send the fireworks to you, but be sure Amy is home to receive them.
From: [identity profile] chaoticmoth.livejournal.com
In that case I won't need the fireworks for a series of explosions!

My work here is done.

That's okay, I will send them back addressed to Ali with a note saying "Hi Head58, here are the fireworks you told me to get in SC for the General, make sure he takes safety precautions when you let him light them off!"

Knowing full well what a worrywart I am and how terrified I am of fire, she'd never believe it. And of course this assumes you survive the "discussion" with Amy to be able to send them!

I think I hate the feeling of being dirty too much for that to happen - I was all twitchy about it the day we spent stuck at the airport after our redeye back from Vegas.

Yeah, I can imagine that. That's the downside to red-eye flights...and we're looking forward to that this weekend! ;)

No, no, no. That wasn't the point. I thought it was an interesting article, but that [livejournal.com profile] head58 would find it disturbing.
