CD Boxes
After looking fruitlessly for several years, I've finally found the perfect CD storage boxes. My mom found them while she was packing to move. They're made by U-Line and are designed as mailers for 100 CDs. They fold together out of one piece of cardboard, much in the way comic book boxes do. They're sturdy, look nice and hold 100 CDs spine up so you can read the title, in 4 rows of 25. They are $2.46 each, which is cheaper than I thought, but you have to buy 50 at a time.
So far, so good. I really wanted these, so I splurged and bought a pack of 50. When I went to place the order, it told me that I couldn't use UPS because the package was either too large or too heavy so I'd have to have an alternate shipper. The cost of shipping: $86.
$86 for shipping!! I saw there was an option for pickup at "one of our locations". It was plural, so I figured I'd look. Lo and Behold, there is a location not 20 minutes from here. I went and got them myself and they are indeed heavy! Plus, since they're all 1 piece of cardboard, they are large. The package just fit in the back of my Pathfinder.
Now that I have them, I'm quite pleased. I've packed up all the CDs in the living room and they look much nicer than the large general purpose boxes. They take up less space and are a better fit than the plastic pieces of crap I'd had custom made. Now I just need to get rid of the plastic things and I'm all set.

So do you have them sorted by reverse alphabetical by chronology?

No, seriously they aren't sorted at all. These are ones I haven't listened to yet and I want to keep them random until they've been judged.

So I am getting rid of them and I'm also going to be ditching my vinyl that I have CD dupes of.

I've gotten my main credit card down 40% from its peak without driving up the other. I'll probably try to get a loan to pay off the smaller amount either this month or next.

The secret is to get into several at one time.

If it is just filling out forms about my daily life, fine, but then I bet I make a few tens of dollars. Again, no thanks.

And as I've said before Time is NOT money. Time is far more valuable than money could ever be.
