Documentation Writing

I'm currently writing "future programmer" documentation for the program I'm working on. This documentation is intended to give future developers an idea of what the program does and what it is supposed to do. Unfortunately, my fingers don't seem to want to type properly today. I keep typing versions of the text that seem like they come right out of Stan Freeberg's Elderly Man River. For example, instead of saying "within the tables" I keep typing "withing the tables".

If you haven't heard the routine, let me know and I'll make sure you get to.

Suffice it to say, I'm Mr. Typo this morning.

I haven't heard it... but I have a consistant typo habit that... oh, hell, now I can't remember what it is. >.< I know it looks like I'm somehow trying to make words that have the same ending sound French or something, but now I can't even remember what types of words it is that I make those typos on, and so I should just quit while I'm ahead so I can avoid more embarassment than I'll already heap upon myself when I actually hit "Post Comment"...

Heh. At least it's a problem for you today. It's a problem for me constantly. I perpetually type 'teh' for 'the' and 'nkow' for 'know', also 'nda' for 'and' - don't ask me what's up with that one.

[identity profile] cr4ckdr34m.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't worry, Stefan-err, Stefing...we all have days like that where-err, when we catn'-cant-can't type.

((...dammit, [livejournal.com profile] inochinoakari never logs out when she's donw using my laptop >_<...just left a comment as her))

Any chance to hear a Stan Freeberg bit I haven't heard is a good one. So fix me up, daddio.

[identity profile] emilytheslayer.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I have not heard it.

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw... I thought she'd commented : -(

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
So what's up with that one?

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Let me know when you remember what it is. Is it typing "<3" instead of "love"? : -D

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Likely tonight, when I get home.

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Evidently many people have not.

[identity profile] head58.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
ZING!

[identity profile] emilytheslayer.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Evidently. I just wanted to add myself to the list, so I can hear it later.

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Have you come up with a theme yet for the cd you ordered me to make for you, or am I going to have to come up with one on my own?

[identity profile] crack-city.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Bah. That's not a typo, that's an affectation. Typing "<#" instead of "love" is a typo. ^_^

[identity profile] emilytheslayer.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought we decided I was kidding. Actually, I did think of a theme the other day, but I can't remember it now. Make it about pirates and ninjas or something.

Speaking of which, did you drive like an apple? I requested that, too.

[identity profile] chaoticmoth.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
OOH! OOH! Come up with one on your own! I'll help! :)

[identity profile] emmalyon.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I have been using "within" a lot lately on performance reviews (as in "all work completed within dept guidelines"), and I keep typing "withing" also. We must be psychic twins!

[identity profile] chaoticmoth.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Was it "Songs with 18 letters in the title" or "Music to clean fridges by"?

Maybe all versions of the most covered songs? Because everyone wants 100 CDs of all the various versions of "Yesterday"!

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh good. Now I'm clear on that. One down, 8,284,030,927,873,494,732,830,954,278,728,404 to go.

[identity profile] emilytheslayer.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know if we need your kind of help. . .although I have to admit I'm curious. . .

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
You decided you were kidding, but it was too late. You can't unshoot an arrow. Or a film!
Pirates and ninjas... You call that a theme?
Why yes, I did. It was not filmed as I was the only one in the car.

[identity profile] emilytheslayer.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Dear sweet jesus, no to the most covered songs. Music to clean fridges by, on the other hand, gets a maybe.

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
That's kind of horrifying, but thanks for the link.

[identity profile] emilytheslayer.livejournal.com 2006-03-16 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Ok, no pirates and ninjas. Have I mentioned how sleep deprived I am at the moment? I can't come up with good themes right now!

Well at least describe the drive, if I can't get proof!

He does make one curious. Then you have to scrub your brain with lye.
