If I were going to be in MA this weekend, I would've just smacked you when I saw you. As it is, I fear that by the time I see you next, I'll either have forgotten about that, or you'd end up looking at me with a what'd I do? expression because you'd've forgotten about it. >.>

I would love to go to Japan on a purely theoretical level. I just fear I'd end up doing even more intensely what I did in Scotland (i.e., hiding in my hotel room when I wasn't with convention people, instead of actually going out and seeing/doing things).

If I get a permanent position here, I may change my mind. But right now... it really looks like I'm not going to make it to Japan. And I don't think I have enough FF miles to cover the trip. *wry smile*
