I like listening to the movie reviewer on NPR. I believe his name is Bob Mondello. I like him, not because of anything he says about movies or because he likes or hates what I like or hate, but because of who I think he sounds like.

I think he sounds like Mr. Peabody from the old Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoon



This is not a slight, I think the qualities of his voice and the cadance in which he speaks are great for disseminating information and are fun to boot!

Normally he is delivering a review with no interaction, today I heard him being interviewed about the Oscars and was struck by another vocal similarity, he sounded quite a bit like telepresence! The strangest thing about this is that I don't think telepresence and Mr. Peabody sound anything alike.

That is quite amusing. I have nopt listened to NPR in ages, maybe I should!

Also: not having met telepresence in life, I will now forever be hearing his posts read in a Mr Peabody voice in my head....

I too like Bob Mondello. He's a thoughtful reviewer not afraid to say that a popcorn film is worth seeing.

I would love to hear him say "Quiet, you!" -- that would reveal his full Peabody-ness!

I do like that he always seems willing to speak his mind and knows that different kinds of movies have their own times.
