Your ability to consume mass quantities of ice cream terrifies me.

Having polished off a fifth of gin on the 4th of july, I don't really believe I can say a damned thing about this.

Wait, you were going to Connecticut - isn't Merrimack in the wrong direction?

And isn't each one 1lb? So you had TWO???

This weekend was a whole New England tour. Saturday we were in CT, yesterday we were in NH.

They said it was 2 lbs, who am I to argue?

[identity profile] head58.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe it is. I'd thought a large was a "full pound of soft serve" but it could be I'm remmebering incorrectly.

How's Merrimack looking? I recently had a dream about going back there and everything was different.

We didn't get any further than the King Kone. It looks the same to that point.

This says 1.5lbs. But really, how would they weigh it?

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
no idea. Either way it was fun.

[identity profile] felisdemens.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
...I don't even know how you would eat that much soft serve in a cone before it melted. And I am an enthusiastic eater of soft serve.

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
To put it somewhat obscenely:
You begin by placing your mouth over the top of the ice cream and sucking the highest bits off over and over until you have a medium sized cone.

[identity profile] felisdemens.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
But then the sides drip!

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
No, no, when the sides start to drip, you lick up the sides and then go back to the top.

It sounds more like a speed event and less like a pleasant one. :)

[identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I had time to enjoy it!

We were lucky that it was not a really hot day and lynx was much brighter than myself and just had the regular twist cone while I had a chocolate dipped cone... hot chocolate on a large ice cream cone is not a good thing.

But he didn't look rushed while eating it and it was not extremely running.

If it's really hot out YMMV. *grin*

Riiight, I am coming from a South Florida in August perspective. I imagine that does make a difference.

Mmmm...King Cone....
We stopped at Herrell's, which is more fo a "quality" than "quantity" sort of place.
Fortunately, there were no creepy singing groups taking up all the booths this time....
