I wonder how long I can continue posting every day, baring trips of course. Perhaps if I continue with this, I’ll regain the discipline I need to finish some of the programs I’ve been working on. Or maybe I’ll start writing fiction again. I do know that not eating and then playing lots of basketball followed by a nap when I get home gives me a headache, so perhaps not napping and working instead will allay these pains. I suppose the only way to find out is to try it.
The basement is seeing progress. I’ve started cutting up many of the oversized boxes that came with my computers or the TV for such is the Will of Llandru. If I can get the boxes cut up then I can unpack the 78s that are down there and set up my new GORM shelving units from Ikea. That’ll let me move my comics down to the basement with less fear of flooding. Then I just have to wait for Rich to claim the entertainment center I’m holding down there for him and for John to take the things I’m holding for him and the basement will be finished. The Living Room and Upstairs are almost completed as well. Once the basement is finished, I can take the giant desk out of the SF room, put the computer that is in there into my bedroom and put a futon for guests into the SF room. There is so much to do and so little will to do it.
Fortunately, I’ve decided to buy fewer computer games both because I only play perhaps a third of the ones I buy and because if I buy fewer, there will be fewer to eat up my time. Again, we’ll have to wait and see to discover if this works as intended, but I needed to try something.
Hmmmm… Maybe if I can trick Chris, I mean invite Chris into coming down he can help me set up one of those switch boxes for my TV, games and video players.
I’ve ordered the Shonen Knife Tickets! I ordered 9, now I await their delivery in the mail. If Pete and Keiko cannot attend, I’ll have 2 extra tickets. I’ll have to figure out a way to get rid of them. I do hope they can come though. Now all I need is for the Aquabats to tour the east coast…
