Well, I've watched the full disk of Firefly that
head58 loaned me and he was right. Horses in space? Traveling whores on spaceships? That's a lot of forcing to get the old west feel into a space show. Is there no other way to do a western these days? Knowing that River is made of chocolate didn't spoil much, but she sure is spazzy. And what's with all the Chineese? Is that all Chineese? Where's my subtitles?
Also, Kailee getting gut shot, not being able to feel anything below her waist and then getting up and prancing about in the very next episode? People get shot alot in this, but it doesn't seem to be more bothersome than a bug bite unless you're a bad guy.
If that's a cruiser, I'd hate to see a battleship. And why all the spires? More window space? It isn't really an efficient design.
And what's with all the 6-shooters that are actually energy guns. Are they energy guns? They sure seem to make bullet-like wounds. Or did they just modify gunpowder to make a raygun noise when it goes off?
Sheesh. Definately a Space Western. Dirty, dingy, violent. Ick.
Oh, and as I was about to add the Music tag below I remembered: What is with that theme song? Did Enterprise change the standard for SF so theme songs have to be crap now?
