Groggy New Year

Ah, the first day at work in the new year. I feel like I could use a few more hours sleep and that's only partly from driving in in the rain. My windshield wipers decided that they'd only work every 1/4" with a 1/16" gap in between. Fun! I don't know if it is the windshield, the wipers or if a good cleaning would take care of it. I'll try the last first.

Other than that a wonderful time was had with head58 and a ton of other people. I'd have to list 1/2 my flist, so I'll just say thanks to everyone that was there for a great time. I also got to meet emilytheslayer who has been on my FList for awhile and looks nothing like I expected. Probably because she keeps using the Rainbow Bright icon. (or whatever the proper name is).

There was a brief icky part with aliwings and their son being stuck on the way back from their holiday trip, but it all worked out in the end. I'm certain it seemed worse and longer to aliwings and head58 that it did to me, but like I said, it ended happily. It was good getting to see the two of them before I went home on Monday.

I got to bring inochinoakari and cr4ckdr34m with me to the fetivities and on the way home we stopped at inochinoakari's favorite apothicary and at Travellers Food and Books.

Sadly, kaisilverwolf was sick and unable to attend and hagbardc is a dope and was unable to attend.

Much gameplaying was had and Shadows over Camelot was finally defeated. Spacefarers of Catan was played and many salacious comments were made about the game componants. Fortunately for me, emilytheslayer was not the type to be offended by such things and was as amused as I. We played some of the sillier games like In a Pickle, Facts in Five and that clay game that's like Pictionary. Castle of Magic was played as well, though I may have the name wrong... Sadly we didn't get around to any poker. Maybe next time.

Did I miss any games that we played? We smelled the smelly game, but didn't play and the Roman game was admired, but not played.
