Game/Dream

I had a dream last night that I was playing a superhero card game that was also a role playing game. We had a deck of cards and as we hit certain points in the adventure determined by the GM, we'd turn over another card. On the cards were 3 sections and sometimes we'd pick one, sometimes we'd be assigned one and sometimes both would occur. These sections contained new goals, challenges or penalties. We'd then have to work on completing them, but as we could end up with multiple challenges, sometimes getting new ones before we'd finished earlier ones, we'd have them build up. We could split the team to reduce the load or we could find ways of achieving several goals at once. Each task also had a point value assigned to it and if the total outstanding points ever hit a certain level, we'd "lose". Since it was an RPG it meant we'd lose the equivalent of XP, get a clean slate starting with a new card and some other changes. The dream wasn't all that specific and, being a dream, had moments where we were playing the game and moments where we were the heroes, but we'd still find out what we had to do by turning over cards.
