In a very strange coincidence, I was using the bathroom when you called. I was not able to get to the phone in time and you didn't leave a message. I know I always say call any time, but when I'm using the bathroom, that warantee is not in effect. Please call or write. I don't have caller ID. If you dialed a wrong number, please ignore this.

Actually, I use my cellphone as an alarm clock (I need several to wake up) and, more often than not, it winds up in the lingere drawer in the bed with me at some point as I sleep. I am always afraid that I'll accidentally open it in the night and call someone up. Namely Ad Frank, since he's the first alphabetical entry in the phone. Which both terrifies and amuses me greatly.

At any rate, it weren't me! I still have to put your number, head58's number, and emilytheslayer's number in my phone from the other weekend!

The funniest thing I ever heard someone else say in their sleep was from an ex of mine, years ago. I woke up to him talking and he said something like, "Who else would live in a wall and give you a book!" I said something like, "Uh...who?" He replied, "A mouse!"

Maria, my roommate in college, was always falling asleep in odd places while studying. We came in late one time she was asleep but sat up and said, "Mike. Karen. You're green. You're green." Mike thought this was funny so he said, "Maria! Your feet are on fire!" she replied, "What? My feet are on fire? Ouch! Who am I talking to?"

It wasn't me! Although I do occasionally talk in my sleep as well. And laugh in my sleep. According to noisyhooligan, I do that more than talking. Apparently my dreams are hilarious. Oh, and, weirdly enough, I was up at 4:30 to use the bathroom. Spoooooky.

Sometimes, if I don't wake up all the way, I'll try to explain it to him. And to me, it's still the funniest thing ever, but to him, it sounds like gibberish. Other times, we've had whole conversations where I was asleep, made no sense whatsoever, and didn't remember any of it the next morning.
