I started the contest with a weight of 276.
This morning I weighed in at 272.
4 lbs is a decent start, lets see if I can keep it going.

Excellent. And seriously, remember to check portion size. I will never forget my shock at seeing what a true portion size was for cereal (3/4 - 1 1/4 c depending on the cereal). And how many calories some cereals have!! (One way to cut back on that, btw, is those 1/2 the sugar Frosted Flakes - they taste the same as regular. Haven't tried the 1/2 sugar Fruit Loops). All the best, and when you reach your goal, if you want a fashion consultant (I did an internship in a costume shop - learned a ton about how clothes should fit & who looks good in what), I'll happily come up for a weekend's shopping. (That way you can just get a sense of what looks good without feeling guilty if you don't buy anything, like you might if you used a personal shopper or a store-provided consultant.) 'Cause nice clothes are a big investment, and you should definitely consider before making purchases. (I'm talking suits, nice shirts, blazer/pants sets - at least business casual; I'm pretty certain you can handle jeans and t shirts on your own - though I can help with those too, if you want a totally new look.) :D M

I've just been cutting portion size a little and then as time goes on, I'll cut a little more. The only cereal I eat is corn flakes and I don't use all that much sugar on them. The big change there was using a normal bowl.
For snacks I've been having goldfish or Blue Bunny ice cream popcicles. They're 80 calories each and a specific portion.
