4 lbs. Not bad I suppose, but I'd been shooting for more. At least I got to tighten my belt a notch today.

You are so kicking my ass on this diet. :( Maybe I should use my lack of appetite due to being sick as a kick off for my diet. I had two oranges for breakfast but just got hungry and had some muesli. I just have to be good for lunch.

I'm just trying to catch up to [livejournal.com profile] chaoticmoth!
Yes, you should use this as a kick-off.

That's what? An 11lb loss so far? *headdesk* I mean, Congrats! lol I really am pleased for you. :)

So far. Of course, that's what I was hoping for in the first week, but still...

Hey, you got to take in your belt. If you were wearing women's sizes, you have to lose a lot more than that before you tighten up (remember when I lost 35 lbs and went done *2* sizes??). It sounds like you are doing OK.

It was ok. Not great, but ok. The belt is a little tight, but my pants were falling down on the larger size.

Pants falling down = progress!
(or, alternately, comedy gold!).

No comedy gold, hence the belt-tightening.

That's actually pretty darned awesome!

I was hoping for 6 this week. I was too lazy Sunday, I think.
But thanks!

Rome wasn't built in a day. It sounds trite, but it's...well, it's trite and true.
This is one of the hardest things in the world to do, so each success that you have, no matter how small, is an incredible one!!!

Wait, I'm building Rome now? That bastard Nero is just going to burn it down. Then it'll be sacked by the Visigoths!

I think we're on different parts of the timeline...

Good job! Wait, why am I congratulating the competition?! Bad job! You should go have some punch and pie! :)

So you have lost 11 pounds and I have lost 9. Damn, I gave up my lead!

If by "gave up my lead" you meant "stayed in the lead" then sure. You're well over 1/2 way to the 10% drop. I've far to go to hit the 1/2 way point.

Date: 2006-05-15 03:42 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] chaoticmoth.livejournal.com
Yes, percentage wise I retain the lead, but I gave up the lead in # of pounds lost which I had taken from you. As you have mentioned, if you put your mind to it and stick with the weight loss activities you can shed large amounts faster than I probably can. I need to make sure I cross that finish line before you hit the turboboost and blow by me.

And yet a month has gone by and I haven't. I think those days may be behind me.

So you are saying you need to work on your glutes?

Date: 2006-05-15 04:09 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com
I think not.
I need to actually get off my glutes and do some exercise.

Date: 2006-05-15 04:21 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] chaoticmoth.livejournal.com
And I need to get back to it. I had a nice little break from it, and paid the price. The problem is that I enjoy being lazy far more than I enjoy exercising. :)

And a delicious steak.

Is the weather getting nice? You should take some walks and admire the neighborhood! I bet Bunny would go with.
Or, if you are not feeling like the hills, how about going to Rich's and walking in that area?

From: [identity profile] lynxreign.livejournal.com
[livejournal.com profile] hagbardc's is just as hilly.
[livejournal.com profile] inochinoakari is so rarely home and awake during the day it isn't much of an option.

Ah well, who needs her! Go yourself!
Or, on the weekend, grab Katie and got to one of the county parks. There's one right down the road from where you live, per the Morris Cty Park commission website.
I have been spending the weekends walking a LOT, and I really think it's helping with the exercise deficit.

So you think I should take [livejournal.com profile] kaisilverwolf out into the wilderness, walk with her a bit and leave her there in her new "home"?

Date: 2006-05-15 09:26 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] emmalyon.livejournal.com
Did I say that? No, I did not.
Now, if she did so to you, once again we have comedy gold!

You implied it.
She'd never do that to me, she hates driving.

How does saying you should take her with you to a county park imply not bringing her back??? And they thing *I* have the crazy....

*I* was going to type that... only minus the ending comma. Would have ended with a period, an exclamation point, or maybe even an ellipses...
