Strange Green-Line Morning

People keep telling me the Green Line sucks. Most days I don't think it is all that bad. This morning wasn't "bad" per se, but it was very strange.

The train was crazy crowded this morning, probably because something happened that I've never seen before. I got on the front car, 'cause it has the single side-seats, the older style car and everything was normal, if a bit more crowded than usual, until around Brookline Village. Then there was this long delay, the train was turned on and off a few times, the car was PACKED. The doors opened again and a few more people forced their way on. I didn't think much of it until I got to Copley and got off the train. The second car was gone! It had been there when I was at Riverside! I have no idea what happened.

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic...
but sometimes they disconnect the trains and send the other one off somewhere. Especially at times when there are a billion being trying to get to work.

Oh, yeah when the train went off and on, that's probably when they were disconnecting it, and all the people who got on were probably kicked off the second car, which they took out of service.

And now I've taken the magic out of the Green line. I'm sorry.

Did they put a big sheet over the second car at some point, wave their arms around, and when they pulled it off doves flew out but the car was gone? All while "Final Countdown" played from speakers somewhere?

Well, he did have a penchant for interesting transportation...the great glass elevator and his space travel, for instance...so maybe he thought he'd expand into the rails.
